The purpose of this module is to help foster and adoptive parents understand educational considerations that may need to be put in place for children who have experienced loss, separation or other traumatic experiences; know how to advocate for children in the school settings; aware of challenges children may encounter in school; understand IEP and 504 plans; aware of strategies to partner with teachers and schools for academic success; know how to plan for higher education and/or vocations.
