This session will explore the resources adoption professionals can offer families to prepare them for adoption and support them post-adoption. The speaker will discuss how to set adoptive parents’ expectations, how to find quality adoption resources and use them with the families you serve. This session will also explore new adoption research, including NCFA’s Profiles in Adoption which conducted the largest survey ever of adoptive parents. The speaker will also provide information on the National Training and Development Curriculum (NTDC), a new training program for families who foster, provide kinship care, and/or adopt children with backgrounds of trauma, separation, and loss.

In order to receive their contact hours, attendees must participate in the entirety of the webinar training, have their attendance verified and complete a course evaluation. Upon completing these items, attendees will receive their contact hours certificate of credit to the email address provided at registration.

The live webinar will also include an interactive time where attendees can submit questions for response in real-time. To participate in this live webinar, attendees must have the Zoom application downloaded to their device.
