NY Licensees ONLY - Counseling Expectant and Birth Parents

This page is a description for a virtual conference session scheduled for November 2nd, 2022. If you'd like to register for this virtual conference, please do so here.

When faced with an unplanned pregnancy, expectant parents should have access to accurate information about the option of adoption, including opportunities to identify the adoptive parents, and how to communicate and plan for an open-adoption relationship with their children and the entire adoptive family. Often, those counseling expectant parents are afraid of raising the subject of adoption out of a concern for offending others. This session will provide guidance as to how to initiate these conversations and provide accurate information in an empowering, non-coercive manner.

Kris Faasse, LMSW, ACSW– Retired Senior VP of Clinical Operations, Bethany Christian Services

Webinar length: 60 minutes
